Kingdom Hall Conferencing Terms and Conditions

1. Terms

By purchasing the conferencing service ("service"), you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing the service.

2. Rates per Auditorium (USA)

  • 4. Use License

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Powertunnel Communications at any time. While the number of listeners tuned into a given conference is not limited, Powertunnel Communications reserves the right to enforce temporary or long-term restrictions, especially in situations where enjoyment of the conferencing services by others may be impacted due to an overuse of system resources. Powertunnel Communications reserves the right to make the final decision about the method or software that will be used to connect your audio or video feed to the conferencing system. If you disagree with the method Powertunnel Communications has chosen to connect your audio or video to the conferencing system, you may terminate your service at any time. Powertunnel Communications understands, however, that you may have limited resources or specific reasons for wanting to use a certain method to connect the audio/video, and welcomes further discussion with the objective of finding a suitable solution.

    5. Disclaimer

Powertunnel Communications makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. Further, Powertunnel Communications does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the service or materials on its Internet web site or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site. However, Powertunnel Communications does make every effort to ensure that high availability and reliability are achieved, and that information is kept up-to-date.

    6. Limitations

In no event shall Powertunnel Communications be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data, or due to business interruption,) arising out of the use or inability to use the service, even if Powertunnel Communications or a Powertunnel Communications authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Again, Powertunnel Communications makes every effort to ensure that high availability and reliability are achieved, and that information is kept up-to-date. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

    7. Payments and Refunds

Billing is done in advance, and calculated per auditorium (not per congregation). Multiple congregations may use the same service. The number of friends (under 20, up to 39, over 40) is determined based on actual usage during the one month free trial (and subsequently always during the month prior to billing). Thereafter, the usage level is reviewed from time to time (generally at the start of the billing cycle). After the one month free trial period, payments may be made online (on this website) or by cheque for a minimum payment period of six (6) months. An invoice may be requested by clicking "Support Request" on the left side of this page. Invoices are emailed to all recipients, unless a paper copy is requested (there is an administrative charge of $5 per invoice for paper invoices). Cheques are payable to Powertunnel Communications and may be mailed to this address. Customers who have prepaid, or are enrolled in a paid subscription service, may cancel their service at any time (no long-term contracts). They will receive a refund for the unused portion of their payment (complete months of unused service).

    8. Security

Each congregation is responsible for its own security and should log into the account portal periodically to verify that only authorized listeners are using the service. Specific phone numbers can be blocked from using the service by accessing the account portal, and in rare cases the conference PIN number can be changed. Changing the PIN number has numerous implications (for example elderly and infirm ones may need to go through the authentication process again, also your audio/video transmission software or ATA box may need to be adjusted to reflect the PIN number change) therefore it is recommended that you discuss this step in detail with customer service before proceeding.

    9. Revisions and Errata

The materials appearing on Powertunnel Communications's web site could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Powertunnel Communications does not warrant that any of the materials on its web site are accurate, complete, or current.
