The recorded message problem was resolved by a server reboot at 1:30 pm (EDT). Additional servers were also rebooted on the following day. The downed server was bypassed, and service resumed at 3:00 pm (EDT). The server shutdown in the data center was investigated by a data center engineer who identified a problem with the data center backup procedure. A plan of action was outlined to prevent such shutdowns from occurring going forward.

The toll-free number problem was quickly resolved with the carrier company and toll-free access restored at approximately 9:40 am. Regarding the choppiness, there were (unexpectedly) 100 more channels in use than is usually the case). The choppiness continued for about 10-15 minutes, and improved to the point of becoming unnoticeable within a few minutes. Provisioning of a new server is underway to increase capacity.
